Founded in 2012 by Ellen T. O’ Gara Platant is a Copenhagen-based architectural studio with experience in the design of cultural, community, and residential projects. The studio is known for its close collaboration with communities to design site-specific and often low-cost high impact projects such as Urban13 and Hørgården Recycling Station.

 

Platant’s work is based on a careful and economic approach to the site and its heritage, materials and construction, and a first-principles approach to environmental, economic, and social sustainability.

 

We work with urban strategies, citizen engagement, architecture, and design. Sometimes we are responsible for the entire project from idea to management of the construction site.
